Coat and bag check is available at the front door where you enter. $3 per item.
On Fridays and Saturdays after 8pm we have a larger coat check open downstairs, still $3 per item.
LARGE BAGS ARE SUBJECT TO MANDATORY CHECKING ON FRIDAYS/SATURDAYS AFTER 8PM.
Be Kind To Our Staff
Our Front Door staff didn't write the rules. They don't have the authority to make exceptions. They're simply doing the job we've asked them to do so that Tilt can remain safe, compliant, and open.
Patience and kindness is expected. Guests being callous or rude to our staff over policies they don't control will not be welcome back in the future.
Why Mandatory?
Our Friday and Saturday policy is in place to protect everyone - our guests, our employees, our liquor licence, and our business.
Tilt Arcade Bar is a licensed establishment under Ontario liquor laws. As the licence holder, we are legally responsible for what occurs on our premises, including the alcohol served and consumed inside the venue. Failure to comply with Ontario's liquor laws and licence conditions can result in substantial fines, suspension or revocation of our liquor licence, and enforcement action that could seriously affect our business.
Our responsibility doesn't end with liquor laws. We also have a duty to provide a safe environment for every guest, employee, performer, and visitor. That means doing our best to prevent prohibited or dangerous items from entering the venue, including:
- Outside alcoholic beverages
- Outside food and drinks
- Weapons
- Flammable liquids
- Aerosol products
- Illegal substances
- Toxic or hazardous materials
- Any other prohibited or dangerous items
Most guests would never consider bringing these things inside, but we have to consider all possibilities when writing our policies.
Most importantly, it helps ensure Tilt Arcade Bar remains a safe, welcoming place for friends and the community to enjoy. Thank you for your understanding, your cooperation, and for helping us keep Tilt open for many years to come.
What To Expect
On Fridays and Saturdays after 8pm, when you arrive:
- Large bags — backpacks, duffel bags, large totes, and similar items — must be checked. The cost is $3 per bag.
- Coats are welcome inside. You do not need to check your coat.
- Small purses and personal bags may remain with you following a brief visual inspection.
- No outside beverages or liquid containers are permitted.
- If you prefer not to check an item, you're welcome to return it to your vehicle before entering.
